Before an outdoor unit goes in
No permit is needed, but the by-law applies. Units are banned on the front of a building. In side and rear yards, a unit under 1 m from the lot line can be at most 40 cm deep, 75 cm high and 100 cm wide. Corner lots and the Mont-Royal historic district have extra conditions. Check with the borough before installation; we size and place the unit to meet it.
