Questions we get asked
That is a real constraint here, not a courtesy. Several municipalities on the West Island set a night-time limit at the property line. We check the by-law for your address, pick equipment with a published sound rating, and site the unit to meet it.
Permit requirements vary by municipality and the work being done. Check with your city before installation. We can provide equipment details and proposed placement information to help with your application.
If you have ducting in reasonable condition, central is usually cheaper per room and invisible. If you do not, ductless avoids building duct chases through finished space.
Often, yes. A cold-climate heat pump cools in summer and heats most of the winter, and rebate programs may apply. We will quote both so the difference is visible.
A straight changeout is one day. Adding a system where none existed, with new refrigerant lines and electrical, runs two to three.
We check the panel and service size during the quote visit. A 100A service usually can, but a panel upgrade is quoted separately and never assumed.
We assess your home’s layout, insulation, windows, existing ductwork and cooling needs before recommending equipment, so the system suits your property.
We recover the refrigerant, document the work by unit, and haul the unit away the same day. It is included in the estimate.
