Service technician: residential HVAC
Diagnostics and repair on heat pumps, furnaces and air conditioning across the West Island. Your own truck, your own territory, and a dispatcher who knows what you are already carrying.
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 1,221 Google reviewsWhat the job is
You take four to seven calls a day off the board, most of them within twenty minutes of the last one. Residential heat pumps, gas and electric furnaces, ducted and ductless systems. You diagnose, you quote from the flat-rate book, and you fix it on the first visit whenever the part is in stock.
A normal week
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours.
- January and July run hot. Overtime is available and it is never mandatory more than one week in a row.
- Parts orders go through the office; anything urgent is couriered to you.
What you need
- A current RBQ card or CCQ competency card in the trade.
- Class 5 licence and a clean record.
- Enough French and English to explain a failure to a customer in either language.
- The ability to work on a roof and in a crawl space in the same day.
What we provide
- A phone and tablet.
- Manufacturer training paid for, on our time: Lennox, Carrier, Napoleon, Fujitsu.
- Group insurance from day 90, RRSP matching from year one.
- Boots and tool allowance annually, and the specialty tools are the company’s to buy, not yours.
How hiring works here
You talk to our team, then you spend half a day riding with a lead technician. If it fits both ways we make an offer that week. No panel interviews, no personality test.
